Inkwell Habits

Privacy policy

Draft for the pre-release app · September 26, 2026. These pages must be reviewed and finalized before public launch.

Inkwell Habits is being developed by Emilie Schario. This draft describes the current app. Questions can be sent to chad@analyticsonthemove.com.

Information the app uses

When you sign in with Google, we receive your account identifier, email address, and available profile details such as your name and profile picture. Inkwell does not ask for your Google password. Apple sign-in is planned but is not enabled yet.

Your journal contains the habit names, colors, categories, start dates, archive status, and daily check-ins you choose to enter. We also store update timestamps and revision numbers to synchronize changes.

Why we use it

We use account information to identify your journal and keep it separate from other accounts. We use your habit information to display your history, calculate progress, and synchronize changes. We use support messages to respond to your requests.

Where it is stored

Supabase provides account authentication and database storage. Your journal and pending changes are also cached on your device so the app can retain edits while disconnected. Web sessions use browser storage; mobile sessions use the device’s secure storage. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.

Infrastructure providers may process technical request information to operate and secure their services. Review Supabase’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy for their practices.

Reminders

Reminder preferences are saved on each device. The mobile app asks for notification permission and schedules a local daily reminder. The current app does not use a remote push delivery service or upload a push token. The web app saves preferences but does not deliver notifications.

Sharing and analytics

The current app does not include advertising, sell journal data, or include a third-party behavioral analytics SDK. We share information with the service providers needed to run authentication, storage, and support. We may disclose information when required by applicable law.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or archive habits in the app. Archiving preserves history; it does not delete it. You can request permanent account deletion in Settings. Type DELETE and confirm to delete your account, habits, and check-ins. If you cannot access your account, contact support.

When a session ends, the app removes synced journal caches for signed-out accounts. Unsent edits are retained on that device so you can recover them by signing in with the same account. They are not loaded into another account. To discard those local copies, clear the website’s browser data or remove the mobile app’s local data. Account deletion clears the saved journal and reminder on the requesting device. Other signed-in devices check for deletion when connected. Offline copies cannot be remotely erased. If a session expires before deletion can be confirmed, unsent edits remain locally for recovery or manual removal; deleted accounts cannot upload them.

We retain account and journal data while your account exists unless you request deletion. Backup retention, deletion processing details, and any legally required retention will be documented before launch.

Before public release

Release countries, minimum age, hosting location, applicable privacy rights, and a final retention schedule still need to be confirmed. This draft is not a claim that the app is ready for public distribution.
